PLANNING

Upon starting a website a few questions have to be answered:

Have you chosen your domain name? Is it available on the internet? What are viable name options if yours is taken? I can help you decide on your name, register it with an ICANN registered affiliate.

In the planning phase, I will meet with you to solidify site requirements, look & feel ideas, technical specifications and define the release schedule. A summary will be provided to the client to review and sign off to make sure that there is a shared understanding of the goals and objectives for the client's site. In addition to the requirements summary, I will provide a diagram of the site flow/hierarchy. The site flow will be the framework for the number and requirements of pages to be created for the site.

DESIGN

The design phase finalizes all creative and architectural requirements for the pages used in the site. I will create three (3) creative directions for the home page, from which you will choose one and provide feedback. I will refine this design based on your feedback. (The hours quoted include 2 iterations. Additional iterations may require additional time). Once we have agreed on the Home page, I will present 3 creative directions for the 2nd level pages. Similar to the Homepage, you will choose one and provide feedback. I will refine this design based on your feedback.

PRODUCTION

After the requirements, and design direction has been clearly defined. I will begin production of the site, test and QA the site. In this phase I will be optimizing graphics for fast load times, setting up a file structure for images, re-purposing content, integrating new images in to the new design, etc. I will present the client with a new site to review, and upon approval, I will release the site to be viewed "live" by customers.
